Windows Vista Editions Explained

Windows Vista is available in many Edition with 32 Bit and 64 Bit Packages. This makes consumers a lot bit confusing while buying Windows Vista.


Minimum Requirements For Windows Vista

800 MHz Processor

512 MB RAM

10 GB Hard disk space

DirectX 9 Compatible Graphics Card


Premium Requirements For Windows Vista

1 GHz Processor or more

1 GB RAM or more

10 GB Hard disk space

128 MB DirectX 9 Compatible Graphics Card


If you are a home user and do satisfy minimum requirements for Windows Vista then you should buy Windows Vista Home Basic.

If you satisfy the premium requirements then Windows Vista Home Premium is recommended for you.

The only thing you may be acquiring in Windows Vista Home Premium will be Dreamscene which is only available in Vista Ultimate Edition

For Office users Windows Vista Business is the Choice.

For Power User Windows Vista Ultimate Edition is the best because it has got all features which are available in other edition of Windows Vista.

Note: The Editions explained above are 32 bit editions. 64 Bit Edition of Windows Vista are not best because of the software compatibility issues until now. But the future lies in 64 bit computing.
